PT SOLUTIONS "Future leaders" SCHOLARSHIP
PT Solutions (PTS) is partnering with the IPTF to award eight $3,000 scholarships to aspiring physical therapy leaders in Illinois. The PTS Future Leaders Scholarship Program recognizes and rewards students demonstrating early leadership potential, whether through clinical excellence or advocacy for the profession.

Application Process
Application Packets are being accepted NOW. Please complete the entire application and submit it along with the 2 letters of recommendation and your unofficial transcript as a single PDF document to Linda Griffith, [email protected].
Application Packet Checklist (DUE BY AUGUST 1)
- Complete application, including essay questions
- Copy of unofficial school transcript
- Two letters of recommendation: One from a faculty member stating you are in good academic standing and display leadership qualities. The other letter may be from a CI, places where you've volunteered, or a former employer, highlighting leadership qualities.
Selection & Award Process
After selecting recipients, PT Solutions will submit scholarship funds to the IPTF, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, for distribution to the winners.
Applications will be reviewed independently by a panel of two PT Solutions members and one IPTF Board of Directors member.
Selection criteria include:
- Leadership potential
- Desire to excel in clinical practice
- Contribution to patient satisfaction
- Teamwork in the clinical environment
- Evidence of advancing practical PT knowledge
All SPT applicants, regardless of whether they attend an Illinois or out-of-state DPT program, will be considered.
Selected recipients will be notified and invited to the GSU Networking Event on September 22nd and the IPTA Awards Event. Those not selected will be notified by staff.
Scholarship winners will receive the $3,000 stipend at the GSU Networking Event or by mail if unable to attend.
Eligibility Requirements
Only applicants who are in their final year before graduation are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applicants must also meet the following requirements:
- Current DPT student member of the IPTA
- In good standing with their academic institution
- Have completed a minimum of 1 clinical rotation.
Completing a clinical rotation
with PT Solutions is not required, but preferred.
